This is a beautiful Packard Bell PB55. Original configuration and works flawlessly, even the original hard drive is installed. Someone took the 3.5" floppy with sled, so I had to jerryrig a new mounting system, but this baby is all ready for some 386 DOS fun! Configuration details below.
Included:
Power cable, restoration and installation media.
Condition:
Exact image shown. Very good condition, internally and externally. Minimal yellowing, no battery corrosion.
Restoration work:
CMOS battery replaced with switchable CR2032 and rectifier diode to prevent re-charge. Note that 3.5" floppy is mounted not with the original sled.
Specifications:
CPU: 386sx 20Mhz
RAM: 10mb
Hard Drive: original 125mb hard drive
Floppy: 1.2mb 5.25" and 1.44mb 3.5"
Sound: AZTech Sound Galacy 16 Pro II with proprietary CD-Rom interface
CD-Rom: AZTech CDA 268-01a double speed CD-Rom with proprietary interface
Modem: sure.
Software:
MS-DOS 6.22 installed and all drivers (except the modem... I didn't check) are installed. CD-Rom confirmed working (these are a bit of a pain to get going because of the proprietary interface and special driver requirements... but this one works). Comes with original rescue and backup media (floppies and CD-Rom), as well as some software (see pictures).
